hlw Keeble Hawson LLP usually recruits up to 5 Trainee Solicitors each year, one for our Leeds office and up to 4 for our Sheffield office.
Training Contracts are for a period of two years and the Trainee will generally remain at the office to which they have been allocated for the whole of their Training Contract, though Sheffield Trainees may be asked to do a seat in our Doncaster office.
Our training contract consists of 4 six month seats across different areas of the business and trainees’ preferences are always met wherever possible.
Competition for training contracts is fierce and we seek individuals who stand out. hlw Keeble Hawson Trainees are bright, motivated, enthusiastic and relish working as part of a team. We look for candidates who will develop with the firm after they qualify. hlw Keeble Hawson accepts applications from law and non-law graduates and second and final year undergraduates, who have at least (or are predicted to achieve) a 2:1 first degree; have either completed their LPC (and/or GDL where applicable), or have a place on such a course. All applicants will be carefully considered regardless of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age.
This year, we will be open to applications for Training Contracts from 19 October 2016.
Applicants should carefully complete the application form and the equal opportunities form and return hard or emailed copies to Lisa Limb, HR Officer, to arrive no later than Friday 28 July 2017. Tell us what makes you unique and why you want to forge a career with our firm.
The recruitment process will commence in August with a short-listing of candidates for assessment and assessment days will take place in early September. Applications are for the contracts to commence September 2019. Please note that as we are always heavily oversubscribed, we only contact applicants who have been invited for an assessment day. If you have not heard from us by the end of September 2017, your application has not been successful. It is not possible to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications.
