Born in Northampton, Michael studied at the University of Hull and Chester Law School.
He has considerable experience of dealing with heavyweight commercial disputes and has litigated in the various divisions of the High Court and the County Court, as well as having considerable mediation experience.
Specific areas of expertise and experience include engineering, retail, mortgage brokers, telecoms, lenders and steel and manufacturing.
Michael has also presented seminars and published articles on various aspects of contract law and civil fraud for clients and trade organisations across the country.
Mike acted for a Canadian manufacturer of components used in brake pedals in Ford motor cars. The client’s sub-contractor refused to continue to supply vital parts, leaving client in danger of breaching its own contract with Ford. Without continuous supply, Ford faced suspension of production at its plants across North America and losses estimated at US$1 million per hour. Mike obtained an emergency injunction on the client’s behalf compelling the sub-contractor and policed it so as to ensure the continued supply.
